MegaPre™ contains oligosaccharides (medium-chain carbohydrates) that can't be digested by humans but instead target keystone species known as secondary degraders.
Primary degraders feed on bulkier fibers (like cellulose, resistant starches, and inulin) and later convert them into products like oligosaccharides.
These complex fibers are important because they can feed beneficial bacteria.For this reason, we decided to skip the first step and instead provide the “good” gut microbes with the intermediate byproducts needed to produce beneficial short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), like butyrate.
The oligosaccharides in MegaPre™ have been derived from organic green and gold kiwifruit, non-GMO corn cob, and cow‘s milk (rBST-free).
